The sale -- from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday -- will feature blown glass, clothing, pottery, handcrafted jewelry, painting and photography. Artists will be available to discuss their work.

The sale is produced by the nonprofit organization. Admission is $6, or free for children 12 and younger and members of Ohio Designer Craftsmen.

Repertorio, the Opera Columbus high-school and college support group, will host a fundraiser at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Powell United Methodist Church, 825 E. Olentangy St.

Houston police and the Harris County Sheriff's Office got the call about a robbery in progress around 1:45 a.m. When they arrived, a man was standing outside the strip center, waving and yelling at them that there were three men inside with guns, and that two people were getting held at gunpoint.

Officers surrounded the business and used a bullhorn to tell them to come out. One suspect gave up, but two others tried to escape through the ceiling.

One suspect fell through the ceiling, and both eventually gave up.

Police said the suspects were trying to get away with cash, jewelry and wallets, throwing the cash into the ceiling. The money was falling on police. More>>
